*Leave your Saniderm wrap on for at least 24 hours. The bandage will fill with fluid and that is normal. Leave it alone and it will be absorbed back into your body. If you start to leak from your bandage, just pat dry the area with a paper towel. If the wrap starts to peel and expose the tattoo, it is time to take it off.
*Run your wrapped tattoo under warm water for about 5 mins. The warmth will help loosen the adhesive and allow an easy removal. Slowly peel the bandage as close to your skin as possible, it helps prevent tugging the fresh tattoo. If it starts to hurt, run it under warm water again and repeat the process until its off. Now begins the actual aftercare.
*Wash your tattoo 2-3x daily with antibacterial soft soap such as Dial. Pat dry with a paper towel and then let air dry for 15 mins.
*Keep your tattoo LIGHTLY moisturized with non-scented lotion like Lubriderm, Inkeeze, or Aquaphor. Do not lather it on, a little goes a long way. The less you do to your tattoo while healing, the better. You can over wash and moisturize it and it will cause complications.
*As you heal, your tattoo will scab and flake as you would a sunburn. Do NOT peel or pick at the flakes. Doing so can cause issues and open the wound.
*Avoid long exposure to sun (including tanning beds) and soaking in things like jacuzzis, bathtubs, lakes, oceans and chlorinated pools.
*Showering is OK, just avoiding using a loofah or wash rag on your fresh tattoo.
**Touch-ups are available if needed, but those due to aftercare negligence may incur additional cost.**
